The Olive Tree Allegory

We were coming up on reading Jacob 5 a while back. So to prep the children I had them watch this video that I watched when I was in high school. Margaret really likes it and often asked to watch it.

Primary Program

The children participated in the primary program on the day we took these pictures. John and Margaret had their parts memorized so well. Clara did the descant for the song " He Lives and He Loves Me" on her violin. John has a solo in "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." It was wonderful. I sure love these kids.

One Afternoon

Not every afternoon is like this. Eliza normally keeps me on my toes. This afternoon was very peaceful. Margaret drew the cute little picture of a unicorn. She followed step by step instructions and then pointed out that it was at sunset because the sky was yellow. I love seeing it there. She really showed her love for Marie by putting it there.

After School Snack

I have been having so much fun coming up with snacks! Chips and salsa, popcorn, apples and carmel, veggies and ranch dip, Chex Muddy Buddies, and the tip of the top, rosette cookies. Those rosette cookies are so so fun! I am really surprised with how hungry the children are. We have been having dinner so much later then in the past. I feel like having a snack makes it easier to help the children make it to dinner.

Autumn

Clara and I put up the floating hats and the children had a good time making it go up and down and having it land on their heads. It was so cute! We also got all the butternut squash in out of the garden! It really is Autumn.

3 Years Old

This beauty turned three and all of a sudden was toilet trained. It was like she was waiting till she was a "big girl." I am so glad. She wanted a pink cake so I made some Italian buttercream. It was her golden birthday.

A Little About Marie

Marie is fussy without her binkie. But she really is a dear heart. The last time Clara and I bathed her she cried before and after but not during. I am glad because Eliza didn't like baths for a really long time. Marie separates her toes in a cute way. She has a belly button that sticks out so so far.  She enjoys the mobile and I am excited to put up the next one.  When Marie gets her diaper changed she looks at the peonie painting that Grandma painted the whole time. She also puts her legs in the same way. I think it is cute. I feel so very happy to have this baby girl. I love taking care of her. I love the way the kids love her. We have mostly had good nights, maybe only two unreasonable nights. Marie got sick in the second week and has had goopy eyes since. It is not as bad as Margaret's was but still a little sad for her. Overall our home is so happy. Heavenly Father has blessed us so so much.

Margaret's 1st Missing Tooth

Margaret is joining her siblings in growing up. It makes me so glad to see her change and get better. Here is the link for Clara's first missing tooth, and here is Johns

Activities for Eliza

I have been working hard to keep her engaged. If not she tends to get in quite a lot of mischief. She is a nice little girl to be around and very capable.
